Dr. Justin Poff
Dr. Justin Poff's journey in dentistry began in West Memphis, Arkansas. A graduate of the prestigious Arkansas School for Math and Sciences in 2003, he went on to earn a B.S. in Biology from the University of Arkansas in 2007. His passion for dental science led him to the University of Tennessee Health and Science Center in Memphis, where he obtained his DDS in 2011.

Since graduation, Dr. Poff has tirelessly pursued advanced knowledge in dental science, with a particular focus on surgical and cosmetic dentistry. His dedication to continuous learning is exemplified by his completion of Spear Education's extensive prosthodontic-focused core curriculum on cosmetic and rehabilitative dentistry. Dr. Poff was awarded a Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry in recognition of his commitment to ongoing education and demonstrated expertise.

After completing dental school, Dr. Poff and his wife, Dr. Clair Poff, chose to make Nashville their home and have embraced life in middle Tennessee. They are proud parents of two wonderful children. When not in the office, Dr. Poff enjoys traveling with his family, exploring the outdoors through hiking and kayaking, and hitting the slopes for skiing adventures.

Dr. Dale Dunn's commitment to dentistry began in his hometown of Nashville, where he graduated from John Overton High School in 1970. His pursuit of knowledge led him to the University of Tennessee Knoxville, where he earned his BA degree in 1974. Continuing his educational path, Dr. Dunn achieved his DDS from the University of Tennessee Health and Science Center in Memphis in 1977.
Following his formal education, Dr. Dunn further honed his skills through an internship with the State of Tennessee. This valuable experience paved the way for his entry into private practice in July 1978, marking the beginning of his longstanding service to the Nashville community.

Expanded Function Dental Assistant
CJ brings enthusiasm and expertise to her role as an Expanded-Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) at Poff Dental Associates in Nashville, TN. Her journey in dentistry began in 2016, inspired by a family connection to the field—her grandfather owned a dental lab, which sparked her initial interest in oral healthcare.
Since joining the dental field, CJ has honed her skills and expanded her responsibilities, achieving the status of EFDA. This advanced qualification allows her to perform a broader range of dental procedures, making her an invaluable member of the Poff Dental Associates team.
CJ's dedication to her work is matched by her vibrant personality. When she's not assisting in dental procedures or ensuring patient comfort, she enjoys unwinding with binge-worthy TV shows. She also has a creative side, channeling her artistic skills into making unique door signs.
Tammy Hyland
Office Manager
Tammy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role as the office manager at Poff Dental Associates. Her journey in dentistry began in 1986, and she's been an integral part of this practice since December 1988, showcasing over thirty years of dedication to the team and patients.
What Tammy loves most about her work is building relationships with patients and their families. She finds great joy in witnessing the positive impact of improved smiles on patients' confidence and well-being. Her enthusiasm for her "work family" reflects the positive atmosphere she helps cultivate at Poff Dental Associates.
Outside the office, Tammy embraces outdoor adventures through camping trips with her husband and grandchildren. She also enjoys quiet moments with a good book. A fun fact about Tammy? She has a special fondness for turtles of all shapes and sizes!
Theresa
Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)
Theresa's role as a dental hygienist at Poff Dental Associates is not just a job, but a lifelong passion. Her journey in dentistry began early, working in her father's dental practice during high school summers in Jackson, TN. This exposure sparked her interest in the field.
After studying at the University of Tennessee at Memphis, Theresa began her professional career in 1998, working alongside her father. In 2015, she moved to Nashville and joined Poff Dental Associates, where she continues to thrive.
Theresa's approach to dental care is not just about treatments and procedures, but about building strong, trusting relationships with her patients. She excels at ensuring patient comfort and creating a positive experience, always putting her patients' needs first. Her enthusiasm extends to her colleagues, contributing to a collaborative work environment.
When she's not caring for patients, Theresa is a health and fitness enthusiast. She enjoys all forms of exercise (hiking, biking, walking, yoga, lifting weights, etc.) and cooking delicious, healthy food. Something people may not know about Theresa is that she's a certified health coach, and she's currently studying to get her Certified Personal Training License.
Brenda
Dental Assistant
Brenda brings a wealth of experience to her role as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) at Poff Dental Associates. Her journey in dentistry began in 1985, and she honed her skills through training at Nashville State Institute. Since joining Poff Dental Associates in 1997, Brenda has been an integral part of the team, contributing nearly four decades of expertise to patient care.
Brenda's work is driven by the joy of seeing patients relieved of pain and their smiles restored. Her long-standing commitment to the field is a testament to her passion for dental health and patient well-being.
Outside of the dental office, Brenda finds her happy place at the river. She loves spending her free time relaxing and fishing, embracing the tranquility of nature. Her creative side also shines through in her enjoyment of building things, showcasing her skills beyond the dental chair.
Aubrey
Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)
Aubrey joined the Poff Dental Associates team in 2019, bringing her warm personality and dedication to patient care. A graduate of Tennessee State University's dental hygiene program, Aubrey combines her technical expertise with a genuine passion for building lasting relationships with her patients.
Known for her gentle touch and approachable demeanor, Aubrey believes that dental visits can be both productive and enjoyable. She takes pride in educating patients about oral health and empowering them to take control of their dental hygiene routines.
Aubrey's love for her patients and her belief in creating a comfortable environment are at the heart of her patient-centered approach, which can reassure potential patients that they will be in good hands.
Outside of the office, Aubrey leads an active and balanced lifestyle. She's an avid gardener and book lover and enjoys traveling to the western United States. As a devoted dog owner, she cherishes the time spent with her furry companions.
Michelle
Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)
Michelle brings experience and enthusiasm to her role as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) at Poff Dental Associates. A graduate of Western Kentucky University, she began her dental career in 1988, initially working in a periodontal practice. Michelle joined the Poff Dental Associates team in 2018, bringing with her three decades of expertise.
Known for her friendly nature, Michelle was often told she should become a dental hygienist because of her love for conversation. This prediction proved true, as she now combines her passion for people with her love for preventative care and, of course, teeth! As a natural caretaker, Michelle finds great fulfillment in helping patients maintain their oral health.
Outside the office, Michelle leads a vibrant life. She homeschools her 12-year-old, spends time with her other six children, and enjoys baking sourdough bread. An avid traveler, she loves hiking to waterfalls, participating in Bible studies, and savoring a good cup of coffee.
Terri
Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)
Terri joined the Poff Dental Associates team as a Registered Dental Hygienist in 2022, bringing a fresh perspective and passion for patient care. She finds the field of dentistry intriguing and relishes being part of the medical community, where she can make a tangible difference in people's lives.
What Terri loves most about her role is the opportunity to help others while engaging in the social aspects of the practice. She prides herself on being a compassionate listener and finds fulfillment in being part of something greater than herself. Outside of the dental office, Terri nurtures her creative side. She enjoys reading and drawing and has a unique talent that might surprise you—she creates commissioned pet portraits using markers and ballpoint pens, bringing beloved animals to life on paper.
